Black Tea

In 1999 Taiwan suffered a disastrous earthquake that severely damaged the tea farms in the central high mountain area of the country. After the killer temblor ruined the area, the surviving villagers refused to abandon their farmland. As a result the farmers qualified for and received technical and financial assistance from the government to reclaim and replant their tea farms.
This motivated a group of aboriginal farmers from the Seshui Community in Yuchih Township, Nantou County, to organize themselves into a group determined to turn the clock back and to convert their black tea farms to using only organic cultivation techniques to produce the best black tea in the country.
Today they claim, "The black tea harvested in our village is one of the best in Taiwan. It was one of the yearly articles of tribute to the Japanese Emperor in the old days," Said by the leader of the community.
Through its delightful flavors this tea excels the notable teas of Assam and Ceylon. It has a unique flavor and bouquet reminiscent of cinnamon and mint. The taste always remains naturally sweet and never turns bitter no matter how long the tea steeps in the hot water.

Oolong Tea

Oriental
Beauty

Oriental Beauty tea is reflective of the name given to it by British royalty dating backing to the early tea trade. The tea itself blend has highest fermentation level in the Semi -fermented tea category resulting in 50% to 60% of Catechins in tea being oxidized. As a result the tea has a rich dark color close to that of black tea.
A unique and distinguishing characteristic of the Oriental Beauty tea is that it has a telltale white marking on the tea leaves. This is the result of insects biting the leaves, but it leaves the tea with a unique fruity aroma. This is robust evidence that Oriental beauty is organic tea because without the insects the tea would be without its elegant fruity and sweet taste.

Green Tea

Oolong Green Tea
This is a very special type of green tea that we cultivated and processed. We choose a high mountain hand picked fine Oolong Tea and only air dried it so that no fermentation takes place. The result is a remarkable green tea derived from a special Oolong plant. So the flavor is as elegant as the high mountain Oolong tea but it is imbued with the fresh spirit of a supreme Green Tea. This Tea is an excellent selection for tea drinkers who want to enjoy the green tea freshness but dislike the bitterness found in commercial grade green teas.

Scented Tea

Jasmine Oolong Tea
This is a special tea that we also designed. Whereas most jasmine teas are primarily a flower based blend ours is quite unique. Once again we choose the higher mountain hand picked fine Oolong Tea and during the fermentation process we slightly infuse the aroma of the fresh jasmine flowers into the tea.
In this manner the delicate flavor is naturally a sensory part of the Oolong Tea giving it a distinctively refreshing taste. So as the tea is brewing the subtle aroma of jasmine is present in a very fine Oolong tea
